Owner Resources
Doctors hours are by appointment. Appointment times are set aside daily for ill pets that may need to be seen promptly. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority followed by patients with previously scheduled appointments. It is also possible to drop your companion off with us if your schedule is not compatible with an available appointment time. Please call us to schedule an appropriate examination time to minimize waiting and delay.
New Patient Deposit
With the heightened demand and increased wait times for veterinary services across the entire country over the past 18 months, it has become more challenging for our clients to schedule timely visits. Coupled with this, unfortunately, we have seen an increase in the number of clients failing to show for scheduled appointments, despite email, text, and phone call reminders.
To keep those scarce appointments available – and reduce wait times for all patients – Hayfield Animal Hospital has implemented deposit to secure a new patient appointment. The amount is fully credited to your first visit and is only non-refundable if the patient doesn’t attend the scheduled appointment.
No Show Policy
A “no-show” is a client who misses an appointment without cancelling it. A failure to be present at the time of a scheduled appointment will be recorded in the patient’s chart as a “no-show”.
A “no-show” appointment will result in you being charged a $50.00 fee. The 2nd occurrence will result in a $50.00 fee and you may be asked to place a non-refundable deposit in the amount of our exam fee ($94.00) at the time of scheduling.
Surgery No Show Policy
A surgery "no-show" is a client who misses a surgery appointment without providing 24 hours’ notice of cancellation. The first time this occurs we will call to offer to reschedule the appointment but our missed appointment fee of $100 will be waived. At the second missed surgical appointment we will call to reschedule and you will be charged a missed appointment fee of $100.
Cancellation of an Appointment
In order to be respectful of the medical needs of other patients, please be courteous and call our office promptly if you are unable to show up for an appointment. This time will be reallocated to someone who is in need of treatment. Appointments are in high demand, and your early cancellation will allow another patient access to timely veterinary care.
