A Comfortable Home Away From Home
Every boarding guest at Hayfield receives:
- Indoor accommodations, with enclosures or runs for dogs
- A separate, private area for cats, featuring multi-level condos
- 2–3 outdoor walks per day for dogs
- Comfortable, clean bedding
- Feeding with Science Diet Sensitive Stomach food (or bring your pet’s own)
- Plenty of love, care, and attention
Boarding Rates
Rates are charged per calendar day, including both drop-off and pick-up days. First-time clients are asked to keep a credit card on file. Fees are based on the size of the enclosure requested — though for your pet’s comfort and safety, enclosures can’t be reserved undersized for a pet’s weight.

Additional Boarding Services
For an additional fee, we’re happy to provide:
- Bathing (priced by weight)
- Nail trims, anal gland expression, and ear cleaning
- Additional walks — $6.00 per walk
- Off-leash playtime (15 minutes) — $17.25 per pet, plus $9.25 for each additional pet
Required Immunizations
For the safety of all our guests, every boarding pet must be up to date on vaccinations:
- Dogs: Rabies, Distemper, Leptospirosis, Bordetella, and CIV (canine influenza)
- Cats: Rabies and FVRCP
All pets must also have had a fecal test within the past year. If your pet isn’t current, a Hayfield veterinarian can update the necessary vaccinations and perform an exam at the owner’s expense.
Special Needs and Medications
Pets with medical needs are welcome. For an additional fee, our team can administer oral medications, give injections, and provide subcutaneous (SQ) fluids. Please complete our Medication Administration Form before drop-off, and label all medications with the medication name, your pet’s name, and instructions. Please note: medications cannot be placed in pre-portioned food bags.
Admission Policy
To keep every guest safe and healthy, we reserve the right to decline admission to pets lacking proof of vaccination, showing signs of untreated or potentially contagious conditions, or displaying aggressive behavior.
Pet Grooming Services
We also offer basic grooming services to help your pet look and feel their best:
- Dogs: Bath and trim services, including sanitary trims and kennel cuts
- Cats: Lion cuts
- Birds: Wing and beak trims
- Rabbits: Nail trims and grooming
