Brandon was born and raised in Alexandria, and has been passionate about animals his whole life. Working at Hayfield affords him the chance to combine his love of animals with his enjoyment of working with people. When he isn't working, he enjoys relaxing with his mostly uniform mix of fosters and pets.
Erin was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. She graduated from Stautzenberger College's Veterinary Technician program in 2003. Then in 2005 she also graduated with a Bachelor?s degree in Biology. She has practiced in Ohio, Georgia and Virginia. Erin is a member of American Society of Veterinary Dental Technicians and became a Veterinary Dental Technician in 2006. Erin joined Hayfield Animal Hospital in September 2007, and currently lives in Alexandria with her husband Ben, her daughter Hayley and her cats "Joey" and "Mose".
Jennifer was born and raised in Alexandria, Virginia. She graduated from Hayfield Secondary School, as well as completed a course in Veterinary Science. She then studied at Northern Virginia Community College and hopes to continue her education and become a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager in the near future. Jennifer has been with Hayfield Animal Hospital since January 2001. Her favorite part of her job is inacting with clients and meeting new patients. Jennifer currently lives in Fredericksburg, Virginia with her husband, 4 daughters as well as a pitbull Deuce, american bully Chubbs and a Leopard Gecko Chiquita Banana. In her free time outside of work she enjoys coaching Cheerleading, baking and attending her daughters Volleyball games.
Dr. Elizabeth Embree joined Hayfield Animal Hospital in July 2010. She grew up in beautiful Springfield, VA. After graduating from Virginia Tech with an Honors Baccalaureate in Biology and minors in History and Chemistry in 1998, she attended and graduated from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. While in veterinary school, she assisted with an oral-rabies vaccine pilot program in Fairfax County. Her interests include exotics and surgery. Elizabeth lives in Alexandria with her husband, Mike, and a menagerie of pets.
Dr. Ainsworth received her bachelors degree in Biology from The University of the South, commonly known as Sewanee, in the beautiful Cumberland Plateau in Tennessee. An Alabama native, she returned to her home state to attend veterinary school at Auburn University. Her professional interests include surgery and emergency medicine, and traveling to other countries to perform veterinary services for natives who are otherwise without (she has been to Honduras and Bolivia so far, and hopes to expand this list). Other interests include hiking, kayaking, ballroom dancing, traveling, and watching Auburn football. She lives in Alexandria with 2 cats, but hopes to one day have either a Great Dane or a very large mutt.
Annie has been at Hayfield Animal Hospital since August of 1999. She is a native to Alexandria and currently lives in Woodbridge with her 2 kids and 4 pets (2 cats, and 2guinea pigs). Annie graduated from Frostburg State University with a bachelors degree in Biology. She then went on to obtain an associate's degree in Veterinary Technology at NVCC in 2002. She became a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) in November 2007. Annie's interests include dentistry, client communication, and exotic/pocket pet medicine.
Maya, better known at MG grew up in the area and graduated High School from Osbourn Park. After high school she enrolled in the Veterinary Technician Program at Northern Virginia Community College. MG joined the Hayfield team in January 2015. She enjoys staying busy during the day with dental procedures and surgeries and one day hopes to coninue her education in Dentistry. She currently resides in Lakeridge with her sweet pitbull puppy Calypso.
Meaghan grew up in the Springfield area and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 2006. After high school she began working for a local Ophthalmologist as a Receptionist as well as study Psychology at NOVA. Soon Meaghan realized her true passion lays in the health and care of animal. In June 2011 Meaghan joined the Hayfield Team as a receptionist. Her favorite part of the job is building client and patient relationships.
Also known as Nate, was born and raised in Alexandria, Virginia where he attended Hayfield Secondary School. From the very beginning he loved animals leading him to apply to our hospital back in 2008, where he began work as a kennel assistant. Nate worked very hard and made his was up to becoming a Veterinary Assistant. After 5 years he decided to take a break to pursue his interest in Taekwondo where he earned his 3rd degree. As much as he enjoyed teach, and found it to be very rewarding, his interests towards the animal world drew him back in. Nate is very proud to announce that he will be going to Veterinary Technician School in August 2015 to further his knowledge for the animal world.
Amanda, a Springfield native and Robert E. Lee alumni, currently works part-time and comes back for full-time during her college breaks. She studied at the University of Mary Washington and earned her B.S. in Biology in 2016. In May 2018 graduated from the Veterinary Technician Program. She's been around animals her whole life and currently owns 4 dogs: Peanut, Grover, Zoey and her new puppy Olive as well as two cats: Esmeralda and Pepper!
Krystal was born and raised in Forestville, Maryland. She is a graduate of Dr. Henry A. Wise High School and was a volunteer at P.G. County Animal Shelter. Krystal has grown up around animals her whole life including 2 cats and 4 dogs. She is currently majoring in Veterinary Medicine and taking online courses at Penn Foster to become a Vet Tech. She has been part of our team since 2014 as a Veterinary Receptionist.

Valeria was born and raised in Los Angeles California. She graduated from Thomas Edison in 2009. After high school she attented Northern Virginia Commnity College and graduated with an Associate of Science. She then continued on to George Mason University and graduated with a B.S in Science in 2013. Recently she graduated from the Veterinary Technology Program in May 2018. In her free time she enjoys going the beach, hiking time
with her Beagle Nikko. Valeria has been at Hayfield Animal Hospital since September 2009.
Angela Falatek, LVT
Angela joined our practice in February 2016. She grew up in Tampa, Fl and attended St. Petersburg College and obtained her Associate's in Science Degree in Veterinary Technology and became a Licensed Veterinary Technician in 2006. Angela has worked in veterinary practices in Texas, New Mexico, Iowa and Florida. Angela really enjoys working with birds, exotics, pocket pets and chihuahuas! Next year, Angela hopes to begin the process of obtaining her Veterinary Technician Specialty in Clinical Practice. Outside of work, Angela enjoys traveling, live music, good restaurants and anything Sci-Fi related. She lives in Alexandria with her husband, three dogs and four cats.
Dr. Vida grew up in rural Southbury, Connecticut before moving to the city to obtain his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, PA. Following graduation he returned to Connecticut for two years and worked for a local pharmaceutical company. In search of more inspiration, he decided to take the plunge and head to graduate school. He received a Masters of Science in Toxicology at the University of Michigan School of Public Health (Go Blue!). While living in Ann Arbor he decided to volunteer at the local animal shelter and it was there he found his calling. He then spent the next four years at Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine where he received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. His professional interests include orthopedic surgery and ophthalmology. Outside of work you can find him frequenting various local food carts or on a trail in Shenandoah. He resides in Alexandria with his wife.
Dr. Jennifer Falkowski grew up in southern New Jersey before attending the Pennsylvania State University (we are!) for her undergraduate degree in veterinary and biomedical sciences. She attended veterinary school at Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia. Dr. Falkowski joined the Hayfield family in June 2016. Her primary veterinary interests include internal medicine, exotic s and surgery. Outside of work, she enjoys baking, running, reading, traveling and watching Penn State football! She currently lives in Falls Church with her Bernese Mountain Dog, Ellie, and two cats, Henry and Milo.

Dr. Marciano grew up in a small town outside of New York City. She received her Bachelors in Biology from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut. She attended veterinary school at Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine in Starkville, Mississippi. Her primary veterinary interests include surgery, and fear free veterinary care. She currently lives in Fairfax with her two dogs Riley and Finnley. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking with her dogs and traveling.
Erin grew up in the Northern Virginia, she lives at home with her family and her cocker spaniel named, Alfred. Erin started her career working as a kennel attendant, then working her way up to a receptionist and veterinary assistant, she quickly fell in love with field and pursued her career as a Licensed Veterinary Technician. She graduated through an online program with a A.A.S degree from Cedar Valley Community College located in Texas. Erin interests are wound care, animal behavior and anesthesia. Erin loves working with pocket pets/exotic animals such rats, guinea pigs, birds and snakes. She hopes to pursue her career as a veterinary technician for a zoo and gain her VTS (Veterinary Technician Specialty) in Zoological Medicine. On her free time she enjoys various hobbies such as going roller skating with her daughter, playing soccer, going to the movies, gardening and baking.
Trey has been working in the veterinary field since 2006. He enjoys spending time with his two boys and adopted dog, Sir Mojo, as well as exploring new restaurants in the DMV area. Trey has high hopes of traveling to Europe. French Bulldogs and other Bully Breeds hold a special place in his heart.
